Eagles teams kick off the Christmas fun!

With the recent awful run of weather and constant cancellation of games, the parents and players of our mini soccer teams refused to let that dampen their christmas spirit! The last couple of weeks have seen a lot of our teams have their Christmas parties and we have some action and reports below. From bowling to football zorbing and also successful nights out for the parents and carers, Christmas 2019 has been kicked off in style!

U7s, U8s and U9s

40 plus excitable Eagles descended on the Nuneaton Bowl on a saturday afternoon. Throw in some healthy competition, coloured pin prizes, food and even a surprise visit from Olaf from Frozen –  it all added up to fantastic day.

Just like their football, these children showed some outstanding bowling skills! All players showed some great teamwork in the doubles games too. Take a look at the gallery below for some of the action!

U10 Football Zorbing

Both of our U10 teams got together for some football zorbing! It was back to Nico Sports Hall for a lot of the players who had already attended Mini Soccer earlier in the day, showing some unreal energy levels!

After some top effort and a really enjoyable afternoon, the team re-fuelled with some pizzas (kindly collected by parents!) and left with a small present each from Santa. Great fun was had by all!

U7, U8 and U10s Parents Christmas Meal

A well deserved night out for the parents, the joint celebration was held at the Village Hotel in Allesley. Christmas dinner, drinks and dancing were all on the menu, and we’ve got the pics to prove it! A great night, thanks to the Village Hotel and to Nikki Hamilton, who has tirelessly worked to get all these events organised for us. It’s great to see the different players, parents and teams coming together over the last few months, and that is due in no small part to Nikki and all her events work. This will only get bigger and better with many more events lined up for everyone at Bedworth Eagles in 2020.
