Eagles Coaches vs Eagles U16s

In what we hope could be the start of a long running Eagles tradition, our U16 team took on the Eagles Coaches yesterday for their final ever game as an Eagles team.

It was a great event all round, (coaches even managing to play 80 minutes!).

The large crowd that gathered at Johnson Road were treated to a lively game, with spectacular goals at both ends and some great play by both teams.

The U16s ran the coaches close but in the end the old timers just nicked it. I know for a fact there are some stiff and sore legs today!

Most importantly the game was played with great spirit – what a fantastic bunch of lads the U16s are, well done to Chris F and the coaching team for their hard work, time and effort over the years. You could see this has paid off based on their togetherness and ability as a team.
